Technical Lead - PHP/Wordpress (10-12 yrs)

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Lead with over 10+ years of experience in WordPress, PHP, and a proven track record in technical leadership.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for working on complex projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring that we deliver high-quality solutions that meet both client and internal standards.

As the key technical point of contact, you will play a vital role in guiding your team, solving technical challenges, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership :

- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for all stakeholders, including client, internal stakeholders/ manager, internal team members.

- Provide consistent updates on project status and performance.

- Make critical technical decisions in the design and implementation stages to solve complex technical challenges.

Benchmark :

- Collaborate with project managers and product owners to scope and prioritize tasks, while ensuring that the team meets deadlines and quality benchmarks.

Critical Decision-Making :

- Make informed technical decisions during design and implementation stages to address complex technical challenges and ensure robust solutions.

Performance & Scalability :

- Ensure systems are highly scalable, secure, and optimized for performance.

Development & Coding :

- Actively participate in coding especially in critical or complex sections of the project.

- Ensure that he along with his team adheres to best practices in coding standards, performance optimization, and security.

Architectural Oversight :

- Perform technical feasibility analyses, risk assessments, and align architecture decisions with industry best practices to maintain high reliability and long-term system maintainability.

Technical Debt Management :

- Take responsibility for managing technical debt and refactoring existing systems where needed to ensure reliability and scalability.

Stakeholder Communication :

- Present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.

Deliveries :

- Ensure technical deliverables meet the project timelines and client expectations.

- Be responsible for client satisfaction by delivering high-quality and innovative solutions.

Quality Assurance :

- Ensure all the quality standards are being followed and all the work is delivered to client after thorough testing, code reviews and making sure no part of the project/ code breaks after delivering any task.

Required Skills :

- 8+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong background in WordPress, PHP, and associated frameworks.

- 2+ years in a technical leadership role, with a successful track record of leading complex projects and delivering high quality work meeting client expectations.

- Deep knowledge of scalability, security, and performance optimization in web applications.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
