Job Description

The IB PYP Hindi Teacher plays a crucial role in delivering the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) curriculum with a focus on the Hindi language. This position is vital in providing students with a solid foundation in Hindi language and literature while incorporating the IB learner profile attributes in the teaching approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Implementing the IB PYP curriculum for Hindi language acquisition.
Creating and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons in Hindi language and literature.
Integrating the IB learner profile attributes into daily classroom practices.
Collaborating with fellow teachers to plan transdisciplinary units that incorporate Hindi language and culture.
Assessing student learning and providing constructive feedback on language acquisition.
Guiding and supporting students in their personal, social, and academic development.
Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
Communicating effectively with parents regarding student progress and language development.
Contributing to the overall ethos of the school as an IB World School.
Supervising co-curricular activities related to Hindi language and culture.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Education or relevant field.
IB PYP certification or training.
Native or near-native proficiency in Hindi language.
Demonstrated experience in teaching Hindi language and literature.
Knowledge of international education practices and pedagogies.
Ability to integrate technology into language instruction.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of formative and summative assessment practices.
Experience in curriculum development and unit planning.
Commitment to ongoing professional development in IB education and language instruction.
Familiarity with the IB PYP framework and principles.
