Effective management of the GST compliances/audit readiness matters to curtail them from growing further underlines the importance of this role.
This position requires in depth knowledge of new GST regulations to substantiate Oracle s tax positions in addition to the softer side of interpersonal skills with the ability to formulate compliances processes and preparing briefs and discussion with their leadership.
The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing the substantive India GST compliances and supporting Audit team.
The candidate should have experience in managing big data, collaborating across departments, and mentoring talent.
He/she must also demonstrate strategic thinking with the ability to align compliance processes.
Strong communication skills are essential, as the individual will need to present tax matters to senior management.
In terms of experience, the candidate should have a background with multinational firms or top-tier accounting, along with relevant certifications like CMA or MBA.
Finally, familiarity with tax technology, data analytics, and automation tools for compliance and reporting is important for efficiency in the role.
Handling GST Compliance position typically focus on managing the goods and services tax (GST) compliance, ensuring timely filing of returns, and keeping up with regulations.
Preparation and filing of GST returns thereby ensuring accurate submission of GST returns, calculate and process payments for GST liabilities minimizing penalties and interest.
Coordinate with internal teams to gather data for GST filings.
Prepare reconciliation of GST reports and documentation for audit purposes and provide assistance during audits.
Maintain proper records and archival of the GST compliance data.
Stay updated with changes in GST laws, circulars, and notifications and advise internal teams on the impact of new GST regulations.
Work closely with the finance, sales and procurement teams to ensure proper GST compliances with the tax laws.
Coordinate with audit teams to support at time of audit.
Educate and train team members on GST compliance processes and updates.
Reporting to his/her leadership with monthly reports leading to improve compliance/audit strategies and enhance controls.
