Exp - 10+ Years in Board Design /PCB Design / EMI/EMC , Hardware Design

Hands on Design experience & knowledge on

i. Hardware Design and Analysis-

- Analog, Digital & Mixed section: Designing of boards- includes amplifiers, filters, Signal Conditioning, Power supply Design, High speed design, Gate driver circuits, Circuit Biasing, Protection, Signal Filtering, Protection, SNRs, RSSIs, Isolation, Grounding Schemes, Signal Integrity, EMI EMC filtering, OPAMPS , A/D, D-A/ , DC- DC converters , encoders, SE and Differential signals, and in general approach to overall circuit design implementation.

- Layout Skills: Designing Schematics and planning of Back plane, PCB and Layout placement

- Application based Component Selection

- Schematics Entry, Schematics Capture using relevant tools

- BOM Generation, PCB Layout Preparation and relevant tools

- Experience in Board level IOTP, Sandwich boards file review, Board testing, debugging the boards and board bring up, Gerber Verification

ii. Digital- Micro Controller /Micro Processor design XMCs;/FPGA based design and various Design Tools

iii. Knowhow of Hardware Design Cycle and Life cycle for Aero grade electronic / electrical LRUS- Design to Assembly and beyond

iv. Hardware Design Specification: Drafting Technical specification based on Hardware System requirements and firmware configurations of Aero grade components and LRUs - Power ratings, thermal ratings, MTBFs, FMECA,

v. Problem Solving - Debugging and Troubleshooting of Hardware issues

vi. Evaluation Testing and integration of COTS components and LRUs- Experience in Board level, Product level and integration level Testing-

vii. Knowhow and experience w.r.t aero grade Hardware Qualification and Certification Standards

viii. Knowhow of Signal Integrity- Overall Signal Loop time / rates and time synchronisation aspects

ix. Hands on with standard interface protocols - RS232, RS422, RS485, ARINC 429, UDP, Ethernet- TCP/IP, MIL 1553, CAN, UART, I2C, SPI, JTAG, GPS, GSM and SIM CARD.

x. Calibration and validation of sensing systems: Hands on with various active and passive Sensors and choices for specific applications, sensor Feedback and analysis of closed loop systems

xi. Hands on experience with various lab test setups and instruments:

- Power Supplies -DC/ AC, UPS , Single phase , three phase , and Battery Backup systems

- High end Oscilloscopes from Tektronix and also with Logic Analyser.

- Signal Generators like Agilent and Tektronix.

- Thermal Recorders

- Bench Testing and Integrated Test rigs For functional and performance clearance tests of individual systems and integrated systems

xii. Documentation: Design Schematics, Documentation, Wiring Diagrams, Knowhow of associated reports required in clearing the design units for qualification and certification
