Data Scientist - Retail/FMCG/CPG Domain (4-10 yrs)

Job Description :

We are not looking for Business Analyst/data analyst/ML engineer/AI engineer.

We are looking for pure Data Scientists with exp classical ML side with proficiency in Python, forecasting using Time series, statistical analysis, Predictive modelling, regression and Number crunching.

It will be basic Data Science people.

Candidates should have a strong background in classical machine learning with expertise in Python and a focus on statistical analysis, time series forecasting, predictive modeling, and regression techniques.

Their skill set should include robust number-crunching abilities, particularly applied to retail, FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods), or CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) sectors.

Immediate to 15 day's joiners needed.

Key areas of focus for these roles include :

Predictive Ordering : Utilizing machine learning to prevent SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) from going out of stock by forecasting inventory needs based on historical sales data and demand trends.

Price Simulation : Implementing models to optimize product pricing strategies to maximize profitability. This includes assessing price elasticity and predicting customer response to different price points.

Promotion Analytics : Evaluating the effectiveness of various promotions and developing simulators to predict future performance of promotional campaigns. This helps in analyzing what types of promotions are most effective and estimating their potential impact.

Hyper-Personalization : Developing tailored customer experiences using machine learning to customize call scripts, marketing schemes, and promotional offers based on individual customer data and behavior.

Asset Performance Assessment : Optimizing asset allocation (like cooler installations in retail outlets) to achieve the highest possible ROI. This involves identifying high-impact locations based on sales data and predictive analytics.

Customer Segmentation : Dividing retail clients or point-of-sale locations into distinct segments to design targeted incentive programs, improving marketing efficiency and customer engagement.

Sales and Demand Forecasting : Using time series analysis and machine learning models to predict future sales trends, helping clients in planning production and managing inventory more effectively.

- Experts from classical ML side with proficiency in Python, forecasting using Time series, statistical

analysis, Predictive modelling, regression and Number crunching.

- Experience converting a business problem into a Data Science problem.

- Strong grasp of ML and Time Series fundamentals and their applications in business.

- Proficiency in Python (including pandas/scikit-learn).

- Experience in leading or guiding a team of data scientists/ML engineers.

- Familiarity with relational databases and intermediate level knowledge of SQL.

- A team player who can deliver under pressure.

- An eye for detail, quick learner and can think out of the box.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms.

- Experience working with large data sets and tools like MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, etc. and large data

streaming technologies like Spark, etc. is a plus.
