Job Description
Role : Progress DBA
- Proficiency in Database admin tasks like schema management ,indexing , performance tuning
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot Issues in Progress Applications and database
- Willingness to learn new progress technologies and adapt to changes in progress ecosystem
- Working experience with Open edge 11.x and 12.x . Open edge Appserver ,Web speed deployment , PASOE
- Database performance monitoring and optimization tuning
- Experience with database security , encryption
- Previous experience with migrating from one version of Progress DB to another
- Performance tuning experience to reduce DB Processing times
- Proficiency in writing and maintaining progress code will be a plus.
- Use of progress database tools
- Perform BI and AI activities
- Backup and restoring activities
- Disaster recovery Plan set up
- Application Deployment and Patch/Upgrade Installation
- Excellent Communication and problem solving skill
- Knowledgeable in Apache , Tomcat etc
