Chief Engineer

Create departmental budget based on the condition of equipment, cost of utilities, spares and services, utilization based on Room and FB business forecast. Seek approval on the budget and regularly review against the same.

Facilitate energy conservation measures and take steps to reduce wastages.

Set engineering standards and guidelines for the department. Based on competitor analysis and customer feedback, suggest process improvements.

Ensure through routine inspection that all equipment are in good condition and scheduled for preventive maintenance regularly. Communicate the maintenance schedule to the user department

Coordinate implementation of renovation and refurbishment measures by liasioning with contractors and user departments periodically.

Coordinate with electricity board, pollution control board, and Municipal Corporation for supply of electricity and water to the hotel and renewal of licenses. Implement the recommendations of the government authorities and ensure compliance.

Ensure compliance and preparation for external / internal audits, facilitate audits and take corrective action to rectify non-compliance issues. Ensure accurate records are maintained.

Identify and review areas of renovation within the hotel premises, supervise the selection of architects, consultants, vendors and contractors on the basis of tenders received and monitor progress periodically.

B.E. in Mechanical / Marine / Electrical Engineering

10 years of experience as an engineer in the hotel/service industry

Technical skills related to electrical and infrastructural engineering, utility operation maintenance, facility management, fire safety regulations, certification in energy management, knowledge of service standards and compliances, project management, understanding of business trends and cross functional knowledge
