Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of analysts, and data engineers.
- Define team goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
2. Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyse large datasets to extract meaningful insights related to stainless steel production, sales, quality, supply chain, or other relevant areas.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency in all analytical work.
3. Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and align analytics initiatives accordingly.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize stainless steel production, inventory management, or other aspects of the business.
4. Predictive Analytics and Forecasting:
- Build predictive models to forecast demand, identify trends, and support decision-making in areas such as pricing, inventory management, and production planning.
5. Data Governance and Quality:
- Establish and maintain data governance practices to ensure data accuracy and security.
- Monitor and improve data quality by implementing data cleansing and validation processes.
6. Technology and Tools:
- Evaluate and implement advanced analytics tools, data analytics platforms, and technologies to enhance the team's capabilities.
- Build frontend Sales App UI/UX: Automate tasks for sales team using data driven insights enabled by a cutting-edge frontend.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and best practices in data analytics.
7. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Communicate insights and findings to various stakeholders, including senior management, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with different departments to understand their analytical needs and address them effectively.
8. Performance Metrics and Continuous Improvement:
- Define and track key performance metrics for the analytics team's projects and initiatives.
- Continuously assess and improve the team's processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and impact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; master's degree mandatory.
- Proven leadership experience (8+ years) in data analytics, with a track record of effectively managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (SQL, Python, R, etc.).
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
