About the Role


We are looking for an experienced mid-level accountant with strong managerial, technical, and project management skills. This role is designed to be a layer between the partner, staff, and clients, ensuring seamless client communication, project execution, and quality control.


The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of accounting and compliance, be able to manage client expectations, supervise staff, and oversee multiple projects, allowing the partner to focus on business expansion and growth. As the firm is expanding into a new division, this role will also play a key part in client operations and communication across multiple service lines.


Role & responsibilities


Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Single Point of Contact for clients regarding accounting, compliance, and project status.
  • Conduct client meetings, explain financial reports, and discuss compliance matters professionally in English & Hindi.
  • Proactively update clients about deadlines, outstanding work, and pending deliverables.
  • Resolve client queries independently, escalating only complex cases that require partner intervention.
  • Coordinate with clients for data collection, approvals, and process completion using Zoho Bookings & Zoho CRM/Bigin or Emails.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and retention by managing relationships efficiently.

Team Supervision & Project Execution

  • Act as a supervisor for junior staff, ensuring they complete tasks accurately and on time.
  • Allocate work effectively, track deadlines, and maintain a project timeline dashboard using Zoho Projects & Zoho Desk or Emails.
  • Ensure all month-end activities (GST filings, TDS, financial reporting) are completed without delays.
  • Conduct regular review meetings with the team, ensuring work quality and adherence to checklists.
  • Train, guide, and mentor junior staff to enhance their technical and operational efficiency.

Accounting, Compliance & Technical Oversight

  • Review and ensure accuracy in bookkeeping, reconciliations, GST filings, TDS calculations, and financial statements using Zoho Books.
  • Monitor compliance deadlines and ensure all necessary actions are taken well in advance.
  • Maintain technical expertise to answer queries from both staff and clients, avoiding unnecessary escalations to the partner.
  • Identify and resolve errors or inefficiencies in accounting workflows before submission to clients.

Process Automation & Technology Utilization

  • Use and manage Zoho Books, Zoho Projects, Zoho Desk, Zoho CRM/Bigin, and Zoho Bookings to streamline operations (Training will be provided).
  • Identify process automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
  • Implement structured workflows for task delegation and follow-up to ensure smooth execution.

Expansion Support & Multi-Division Operations

  • Assist in the new business division expansion by managing client communication and operational tasks.
  • Oversee operational requirements for the new division, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Coordinate between teams to ensure cross-functional efficiency and client satisfaction.

Preferred candidate profile


🎓 Qualifications:

  • Semi-Qualified CA (IPCC cleared preferred) OR
  • B.Com/M.Com Graduate with 3-4 years of experience in an Accounting Firm.

💡 Required Skills:

  • Strong Accounting & Tax Knowledge (GST, TDS, Financial Reporting).
  • Excellent Communication Skills in English & Hindi to manage client interactions.
  • Project & Team Management experience in an accounting firm.
  • Ability to handle technical queries independently without frequent escalations.
  • Experience using Zoho Books, Zoho Projects, Zoho Desk, Zoho CRM/Bigin, and Zoho Bookings (Training will be provided).
  • Proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Process-driven mindset to streamline and automate accounting workflows.
