Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting our IT infrastructure, ensuring the stability and efficiency of our network and systems. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, technical expertise, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. System Management: Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware. Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and operating at peak performance. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise. 2. Network Administration: Manage network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Perform network troubleshooting to identify and resolve connectivity issues. Implement and maintain network security protocols to protect against unauthorized access. 3. User Support: Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with best practices. Conduct training sessions and create documentation for users to facilitate better understanding of systems. 4. Data Management: Perform regular data backups and ensure data integrity and availability. Manage storage solutions and optimize disk usage. Develop and implement disaster recovery plans. 5. Security Management: Monitor security logs and respond to security incidents. Install and update antivirus software and other security tools. Stay updated with the latest security threats and ensure the organization is protected. 6. Software and Hardware Maintenance: Oversee software updates, patches, and upgrades. Manage hardware inventory and coordinate hardware repairs or replacements. Ensure all IT assets are properly documented and tracked. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix) and network protocols. Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
