Job Overview:

The Denial Coder reviews and resolves denied claims by ensuring proper medical coding and working with insurance companies and healthcare providers. This role requires expertise in coding, claim denial analysis, and adherence to healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze denied claims to identify coding errors, missing documentation, billing and compliance issues.
• Correct claims using accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes, and apply appropriate modifiers.
• Prepare and submit appeals with supporting documentation to insurance companies.
• Collaborate with billing, physicians, and insurance representatives to resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and payer guidelines.
• Track denial trends and report findings to management.
• Stay updated on coding changes, payer policies, and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Any Degree,
• Certification(CPC/COC/CCS) is Mandatory.
• Experience: 2-4 years in medical coding and denial management.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and insurance claims; proficient in coding software and EHR systems.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem Solving: Ability to identify denial causes and recommend solutions.
