Job Description Qualification
- Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications in the life insurance domain.
- Utilize your hands-on experience in JCL, COBOL, IMS DB, IMS DC, and DB2 to design and implement efficient and reliable solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to deployment and support.
- Write, test, and debug code to ensure the integrity and performance of mainframe applications.
- Adhere to Agile methodologies and participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality code and meet project deadlines.
- Provide support for production issues and implement necessary fixes.
- Bachelors
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Mainframe Developer in the life insurance domain.
- Proficiency in JCL, COBOL, IMS DB, IMS DC, DB2, VSAM, and SQL.
- Hands-on experience in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of CA7 and REXX scripting language is a plus.
