Responsibilities:
Identify innovative solutions to meet customer requirements and challenges
Develop comprehensive and detailed functional requirements covering all aspects of the product or feature, and present these to the SE team and R&D
Work with and understand protocol specifications to ensure successful multi- vendor interoperability across complex end- to- end solutions
Work with partners and 3rd party vendors in to close on requirements and build winning end- to- end solutions
Work closely with R&D to ensure implementation meets requirements
Assist Sales Engineering and Business Development teams in creating technical proposals for all business opportunities
Assist with RFP/ RFI responses
Represent Company in technical face- to- face customer meetings and forums
Develop a deep understanding of companies\' competitive products, developing positioning papers to put company into a winning position
Protect companies intellectual property rights through patent filings as necessary
Attend occasional off hour conference calls with offices in Europe and Asia
Up to 15% domestic and international travel may be necessary
Skillset:
6+ years of experience as a system engineer or solution architect in the Voice Telephony industry
Detailed understanding of IMS architecture and Voice applications.
Detailed understanding of Basic Call processing, Supplementary Services, IN Services in Legacy GSM/ UMTS/ CDMA domain.
Understanding of and experience with the following protocols: SIP, SIGTRAN, MAP (GSM/ UMTS and ANSI- 41), CAP, INAP, LDAP, Diameter, ISUP, etc
Detailed understanding of carrier grade product architecture
Detailed understanding of ATCA platform architecture a plus
