Job Description :
The Application Analyst is a versatile and highly motivated individual who works with the Business Users and Development team on the functional requirements definition, design, implementation and maintenance of systems applications.
The position will work with the IS Applications EMEA Team, collaborating with Business Users and Developers in defining, prioritizing and executing application enhancements and projects.
Additionally the position will be play the critical role of ensuring that Developers and Production Support Engineers have adequate clarification and support on all business and functional requirements and specifications related to applications.
The Application Analyst will report to the Manager of the Applications Analyst Group.
The position will play an integral part in the company s initiatives including but not limited to
Requirements gathering and scope definition with non-technical Business User constituencies.
The ability to interview various non-technical managers to understand complex, dynamic business rules/process and then create detailed, specific and comprehensive documentation.
Engage Business Users spanning multiple business units and ensure cohesive articulation of business goals and processes to ensure effective Internet solution.
Engage Business Users to support all necessary clarification for the Project Team, Developer Team and Production Support Team to design and implement an effective solution.
Manage components of a project plan or smaller projects
Strong functional understanding of the systems supported and the development framework for customizations
Verification of feasibility of Business User s request functionality and business rules based on existing technical systems and data structures.
Ability to create and present key requirements artifacts:
Scope Documents
Use Cases
Detailed Specification of Key Business Rules
Activity Diagrams
Business Process Mapping Diagrams and Documentation
Application Gap analysis
The role will also imply providing 2nd or 3rd level Help Desk support to user community.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in a technical/business discipline with 2 to 4 years practical technical/functional experience and 2+ lifecycle implementations
Skills
Knowledge with Oracle Applications modules related to the Order Management, Telesales, Shipment Execution process and Inventory.
Experience in Customer Relationship Management modules (CRM).
Knowledge and experience in SOA is preferred.
Knowledge of business flows implementations like Order - to - Cash
Some knowledge in the Finance modules is preferred. Knowledge of Vertex TAX Engine is appreciated.
As a knowledgeable expert act as an analyst for the team members and key business users
Knowledge of Oracle Application functionality, schemas and development frameworks
Knowledge of Oracle Application configurations
Knowledge of working in a Multi-Organization environment inside the Oracle Applications
Knowledge of the AIM Methodology
Knowledge with SQL based queries and the application framework of Oracle applications
Knowledge with global implementations of Oracle applications
Good written and verbal communication skills, Fluent in English
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to gracefully manage multiple priorities, commitments and projects in fast-paced dynamic environment
Ability to self-motivate and self-manage
Positive, pro-active, eager to learn, flexible, customer- and service-oriented, team player and team builder
Leading skills on identifying system impact for small and large scale initiatives
Knowledge of Project and/or Software Development Life Cycle
Good users of Microsoft Office, Visio, and Primavera
Knowledge in creating estimates for functional extensions
Highly Desired
Previous experience in this role servicing large multinational corporations ($2B+ revenue) either as an internal employee or as a consultant
International experience and Fluency in other European languages
In the role as analyst coach the members in the same track
Knowledge/experience of integrations with Oracle 11i /R12 applications and legacy systems
