Data Engineer I

As a Data Engineer, you will be building data models to deliver business reports, while exploring innovative data visualizations. You will manage requirements, design, and deliver reports and continuously improve based on feedback from business partners. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze data to identify trends and patterns, and develop insights to drive business decisions

Design and develop Operational & Business reports and Dashboards

Build and maintain processes and data models to enable Governance and Financial audits

Collaborate with partners from different business domains to understand reporting requirements and deliver on a defined schedule

Identify gaps and provide recommendations to achieve Business must-wins and leverage automation as needed

Continuously monitor and evaluate report performance to ensure accuracy and efficiency

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency within the landscape of Sales & Origination, Product and Finance departments Your

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent field.

Minimum 1-4 years of relevant experience in data engineering or related roles in the BFSI domain. Re/Insurance industry experience is an advantage

On-job experience and expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.

Experience with Power BI or similar modelling and visualization tools is a significant advantage.

Basic knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, and data modelling concepts

Self-starter who is methodical and well-organized. Highly committed, upbeat, proficient, and reliable

Adaptable in a delivery focused environment and flexible with working hours.

Takes ownership and drives topics forward. Team focus and orientation towards customers and result

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Proficient in English (written and spoken)
