Draughtsman / Design Engineer, 2D & 3D drawing (in Packaging Industry)

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities-

• Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using Solid Edge software.
• Develop designs based on project requirements, including concept creation, prototyping, and final design.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet specifications and standards.
• Conduct design reviews and implement feedback for optimization.
• Generate detailed technical drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
• Maintain accurate design records and updates in the PLM system.
• Perform simulations and stress analysis using Solid Edge tools.
• Troubleshoot design issues and propose solutions.
• Propose innovative design approaches to enhance product functionality.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Should have mastery in Reverse Engineering

- Proficiency in Solid Edge for 3D modeling, drafting, Autocad and assembly.

- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

- BE Mechanical Engineering

- Extensive experience in machine design, particularly in packaging industry

- Creating high quality detailed drawings

- Good communication skills in reading and writing English.

Preferred:

- Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.

- Knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools.

- Work in European machine design will be highly regarded

- Knowledge of servo technology
