TECH PROGRAM MANAGER
Job Summary:
The Technical Program Manager (TPM) will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and delivering technical projects, ensuring they are aligned with the companys strategic goals. The TPM will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and operations, to facilitate clear communication, drive project execution, and deliver high-quality solutions on time. This role is ideal for a highly organized, solutions-oriented individual with a strong technical background who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop, manage, and communicate project timelines, scope, and resource requirements to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, product, operations, and other teams to align on project goals, dependencies, and priorities.
2. Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including providing regular updates, managing expectations, and addressing concerns.
- Facilitate communication and conflict resolution among teams to keep projects on track.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Track and report on project progress, using data to assess project health, performance metrics, and overall efficiency.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous process optimization.
3. Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements within the program management workflow to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Advocate for best practices in Agile or other relevant methodologies to ensure effective and adaptive project management.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) is a plus.
Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in technical project or program management within a tech-driven company.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional projects with a focus on software development, infrastructure, or other technical areas.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of software development processes
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project) and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying risks and finding solutions.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Experience with data analysis and performance metrics to inform decision-making.
- Ability to drive change management and influence team members towards continuous improvement.
