Draughtsman

Role & responsibilities -

Drafting and Documentation:

• Prepare detailed architectural and structural drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting tools.
• Update and revise plans based on feedback from architects, engineers, and project managers.
• Create as-built drawings for completed projects.

Coordination:

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to translate concepts into detailed designs.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure drawings align with design intent and construction requirements.

Compliance and Standards:

• Ensure all drawings comply with local building codes, regulations, and company standards.
• Maintain consistency and accuracy across all technical documentation.

Material Specifications:

• Prepare detailed schedules for materials, finishes, and fixtures as required.
• Assist in preparing technical specifications for tender documents.

Site Support:

• Provide technical support to construction teams during project execution.
• Visit project sites to verify dimensions and ensure compliance with drawings.

Preferred candidate profile -

• Diploma in Civil/Architectural Drafting or equivalent.
• 8-12 years of experience as a draughtsman in real estate.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting tools; knowledge of Revit or SketchUp is a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and detailing.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
