Grid Compliance- SEL Delhi

Role & responsibilities

Scouting of Indian national/state grid codes/technical connectivity standards/regulations and prepare worst case technical requirements

- Scouting of grid model requirements and prepare design requirements

- To bring clarity on technical issues/unclear grid code clauses from grid authorities and customers

- To support technical approval process of wind farm compliance from grid authorities/customers/Certification institutions

- To lead projects related to grid compliance for feature development, demonstrations and certifications

- Conduct project meetings and preparation of reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team

- To perform high level wind farm level simulation studies in PSSe, PSCAD simulation software

- To lead GCC related RCA projects of wind farms

- To liaison with grid & government authorities (CTU, RLDCs, CEA, CERC, NIWE, MNRE)

- Technical interface on GCC between Suzlon and customer/authority/external consultants

- Technical support to customers during FTC approval, during sales and marketing

- Support in competition bench marking of WTG on GCC related areas

Key Responsibility

• scouting of grid codes/regulations/state level coonectivity standards and grid models -

1. arrange the latest/in draft technical requirements from authorities/customers

2. study international practices and major grid codes

3. to prepare repoprts and regularly update TG mangement

• To bring clarity on technical issues/unclear grid code clauses from grid authorities and customers

1. To interact with grid authority & customers

2. To bring technical clarification and ensure it is considered in WTG/wind farm design

• To liason with grid & government authorities (CTU, RLDCs, CEA, CERC, NIWE, MNRE)

1. To arrange & participate in meeting with responsible officers

2. represent Suzlon in technical meetings in various forums

• Support in competition bench marking of WTG/Windfarm on GCC related performance

1. regular meetings with Sales & Marketing team of Suzlon and customers

2. update bench marking report

• To perform high level wind farm level simulation studies in PSSe, PSCAD simulation software

1. To perform high level park level simulation studies

Good relationship with grid & government authorities, knowledge about operation of RE and conventional power plants, in depth understanding of grid codes for RE plants, Knowledge about wind farm/solar park modeling & simulation,

To bring timely clarity from grid authorities/customer, limited modeling experience & exposure to international wind farm commissioning practices,

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Qualifications : post graduate in Electrical Engineering/power system/power electronics/

Soft Skills : Strong communication, Analytical thinking, problem solving and result oriented, respect of various cultures and religions
