Senior Pcb Design Engineer

Position Overview:

- The Senior PCB Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design & development of high-speed, high-density printed circuit boards (PCBs) in compliance with industry standards. This position requires expertise in PCB layout (Should be capable of handling the PCB Design from Start to End Alone), design verification, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal design for manufacturability (DFM), testability (DFT), and performance (DFX).

Key Responsibilities:

PCB Design & Layout:

- Develop and manage PCB designs for high-speed interfaces (USB 2.0, USB 3.0, PCIe, DDR3/DDR4/LPDDR4, Automotive Ethernet, etc.).

- Implement impedance-controlled PCB designs, Power rail considerations, and EMI/EMC-compliant layouts.

- Create library parts, schematic symbols, and footprints based on IPC standards (IEEE/ IPC 7351B).

Design Validation & Compliance:

- Perform Design Rule Checks (DRC) and clear errors.

- Review and interpret Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis reports and make design modifications accordingly.

- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address design-for-manufacturing issues and ensure compliance with IPC standards (2221, 2222, 2223).

Documentation & File Generation:

- Generate and verify Manufacturing files, including Gerbers, STEP, DXF, and BOMs.

- Maintain engineering documentation and manage design changes throughout the development cycle.

- Conduct Netlist verification and checklist-based design reviews.

Collaboration & Support:

- Work closely with Hardware, Mechanical, and Thermal teams during product development.

- Engage with vendors and Manufacturers to resolve Technical queries and optimize designs.

- Support prototype development and troubleshoot any issues.

Education:

- Diploma/BE in Electronics & Communication Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:

- 7+ years of experience in PCB design, with at least 4+ years focused on high-speed designs.

- Hands-on experience with high-speed PCB design techniques and tools like Altium and Cadence Allegro.

Standards & Compliance:

- In-depth knowledge of IPC standards (IPC 7351B, IPC 2221/2222/2223) for PCB design and footprint creation.

- IPC certification is a plus.

Mandatory Skills Required (*):

- Cadence Allegro & Altium

- Knowledge on PCB Footprints & Symbols

- Flexible to Work on Shift

Specific Requirements:

- Proficiency in Schematic entry, Constraint settings, Stack-up design, and PCB Panelization.

- Strong understanding of EMI/EMC concepts and power integrity at the PCB level.

- Experience with Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis and simulation tools.

- Practical knowledge of creepage clearance, isolation, and copper thickness calculations.

- Familiarity with DFX principles and implementing design for manufacturability (DFM).
