Designation: QC Footwear
Experience: 3+ years (preferably in Footwear).
Location: Gurugram, Haryana (India).
Educational Qualification: Bachelors/Masters Degree in relevant stream.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

Footwear QC.

• Conduct 100% inspection of final footwear products before dispatch.
• Check for defects such as stitching errors, material flaws, bonding issues, and finishing quality.
• Ensure compliance with approved samples and specifications.
• Verify that outsourced manufacturers adhere to quality standards.
• Identify and categorize defects based on severity (critical, major, minor)
• Maintain detailed records of defects and rejection rates.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly QC reports.
• Monitor defect trends and take preventive actions in outsourced production units.
• Check packaging materials for correct labeling, barcoding, and branding.
• Verify carton markings, shipping marks, and packing lists.
• Confirm outsourced suppliers meet packaging compliance standards.
• Work closely with Vendor production teams to provide feedback on quality issues

Product Development

• Lead the development of new ladies' footwear designs in line with market trends.
• Collaborate with designers and technical teams to create innovative and functional products.
• Oversee sample development, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with material suppliers to source high-quality components.

Sourcing & Vendor Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable footwear manufacturers and suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, MOQs, and lead times to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct factory audits to ensure compliance with quality, ethical, and social responsibility standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth operations.

Cost Management & Budgeting

• Develop and maintain budgets for product development and sourcing activities.
• Optimize sourcing strategies to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
• Monitor and manage cost variations in raw materials and production.

Supply Chain Coordination

• Work closely with logistics and procurement teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Track production schedules and manage any delays or issues with vendors.Ensure smooth coordination from sampling to final shipment.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 3-5 years of experience in footwear industry or related field (product development, QC).
  
• Strong understanding of new product development, product design, and productivity principles.
  
• Excellent knowledge of cost management & budgeting, costing, pricing, procurement, sourcing/procurement processes.
