Advance Engineer Retrofits

Role & responsibilities:

1. Undertake responsibility of pump selection and mechanical design feasibilities, pre-calculations & engineering specifications for retrofit solutions

2. Independently work and respond to assigned open Global Field Engineering Request (GFER) associated with technical support / Tender / Enquiry activities

3. Review customer technical specifications provide comments/exceptions, technical know-how as required to ensure proposals are technically fit for the purpose including identifying and documenting areas of technical risks and level of design review associated with the projects.

4. Provide estimated engineering man-hours to enable completion of project cost estimation

5. Provide an engineering presence when required on sales visits, at bid clarification and client kick off meetings.

6. Liaise with vendors and other Sulzer LEs on technical aspects of related tender activities.

7. Review and update engineering information in conjunction with sales and tendering prior to order handover to order related engineering.

8. Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a safe working, environmental protection, and continual improvements.

9. Be familiar with the risks and hazards within activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices & measures in place to mitigate the risks.

10. KPIs: Individual objectives / targets, Quality of technical solutions, GFER response time, Order GP%, Tender Hit rate, COPQ (Cost of non-conformance, ex. Pre-calcs Vs Actual design)

Preferred candidate profile:

Work experience: 3 years

Expertise (e.g. professional, technical): Pump selection and mechanical design knowledge, CAD), Ability to act independently, flexibility and ability to adapt, Commercial acumen, Attention to details and design from first principles.

Education: Level: BE Subject: Mechanical

Languages: English

Soft skills: Influencing and Persuasion skills, Technical writing, MS office expertise
