Subko Coffee - Head - Operations (10-15 yrs)

Company Overview: Subko is dedicated to reimagining, redesigning, and reinventing the Indian Subcontinent as a key contributor to the global specialty coffee, cacao, and craft baking movements.

- Since launching operations in March 2020, we have embarked on an exciting growth journey, with our Cacao vertical emerging in March 2023.

- At Subko, we craft all coffee, chocolate, and bakehouse products in-house from raw materials, ensuring a high-quality experience from crop to cup, bean to bar, and farm to table.

- As a start-up in the scaling phase, we seek motivated individuals to join our dynamic team and elevate the craft food and beverage landscape.

- Qualifications: Experience: 5+ years of experience in operations management or a related field; 10+ years preferred.

- Industry Background: Experience in FMCG/CPG brands at national and global scales; experience in export is an added bonus.

- Educational Background: Relevant education in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Food Science, or a related discipline.

- Skills: Ability to manage complex product formulations at scale in a quasi-kitchen, quasi-factory environment.

- Key Responsibilities: Production: Supervise the operations of a small production facility focused on bean-to-bar chocolate and confectionery production, ensuring the facility operates without downtime.

- Oversee production processes, ensuring the highest quality standards and efficiency.

- Manage complex product formulations and ensure consistency in output.

- Collaborate closely with the R&D team to support and execute the rollout of new products.

- Plan production schedules effectively to meet demand while minimizing waste.

- Supply Chain Management, Operations, and Management: Oversee supply chain functions, including procurement, packaging, dispatch, and distribution.

- Implement cost control measures to maintain budgetary compliance and improve profitability.

- Ensure compliance with hygiene standards and relevant regulations, maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and safety within the facility.

- Monitor the P&L of the Cacao vertical of business to optimize financial performance and drive strategic initiatives.

- Facilitate communication and collaboration between teams to enhance operational efficiency.

- Interface with C-suite and executive-level stakeholders, forming part of the upper management of the SubKo brand.

- Work in partnership with the Director of Subko Cacao, who will handle strategic decisions, R&D funnels, and external partnerships while driving marketing and content initiatives.

- Team Development: Lead the training and development of team members to enhance skills and ensure alignment with company goals.
