Database Administrator - Azure SQL (5-7 yrs)

Job Description:

Experience : 4+ years

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement efficient database schemas.

- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

- Optimize database performance by analyzing query execution plans and implementing tuning techniques.

- Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and updates.

- Monitor database performance and identify potential issues.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related problems.

- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data.

- Manage and administer Azure SQL Database instances.

- Optimize database performance in the cloud environment.

- Implement high-availability and disaster recovery strategies.

- Work closely with development teams to understand their data needs.

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth project execution.

- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Strong proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL.

- Experience with Azure SQL Database.

- Knowledge of database design principles and normalization techniques.

- Understanding of database performance tuning and optimization.

- Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with PowerShell scripting.

- Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).

- Certification in Microsoft SQL Server or Azure
