Key skills for the job
Detailed Job Description:
1. Develop and Maintenance of Detailed Finite Element Models (DFEM):
Create and maintain DFEMs of fuselage structures from the raw global finite element model (GFEM) for specific fuselage sections.
Ensure DFEMs accurately reflect critical details of structural components for precise analysis.
2. Application of GFEM Techniques for Structural Analysis:
Apply and use GFEM to conduct comprehensive structural analyses, including linear/nonlinear static, dynamic, and thermal evaluations of Aircraft fuselage structures.
Assess stress distributions, deformations, and other relevant structural responses under diverse operating conditions.
3. Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT) Analysis:
Perform F&DT analysis to assess the long-term durability and structural integrity of Aerostructures, with a focus on fuselage structures.
Apply F&DT principles to anticipate and mitigate failure risks due to cyclic loading.
Prepare reports to document analysis methods, findings, and recommended design improvements.
4. Aerostructures Stress Analysis:
Perform stress analyses, considering for static, dynamic, fatigue, and damage tolerance and nonlinear behaviors in accordance with aerospace industry standards and compliance regulations (e.g., FAR, EASA).
Evaluate structural behavior, load-carrying capacity, and failure modes.
Understand the inertial loads and handling loads application on the interior aircraft structure.
Use advanced simulation tools to analyze load paths, stress distributions, and fatigue hotspots.
5. Structural Optimization:
Perform optimization studies to enhance structural efficiency, reduce weight, and improve manufacturability of fuselage components.
Assess and recommend design alternatives for optimal performance.
6. Collaboration with Design Engineers:
Offer design recommendations based on stress analysis results to support development team for design modifications.
7. Certification Reports preparation:
Prepare detailed certification standard reports, including analysis procedures, mitigation strategies, and Reserve Factor summaries, supporting PDR and CDR requirements.
8. Validation and Reliability:
Validate GFEM results by correlating them with test data.
Ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical predictions.
9. Technical Leadership and Mentorship:
Provide technical guidance and mentoring team collaboratively in finite element modeling and follow best practices.
Promote skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.
10.Industry Knowledge and Trends:
Stay updated on industry advancements in finite element techniques for fuselage structures and apply innovations to improve analysis methodologies.
11. Process Improvement:
Contribute to continuous improvement of analysis tools, methodologies, processes, and workflows for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.
12. Effective Communication:
Communicate findings, recommendations, and technical reports effectively to internal teams, stakeholders, and customers, ensuring clear understanding of analysis results.
