Role & responsibilities

The ideal candidate must be proficient with

• Oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials, tools, and equipment required for the transmission line and substation construction.
• Maintain accurate records of all materials and equipment, including quantities, specifications, and storage conditions.
• Ensure proper labeling and identification of materials in the store.
• Regularly update the project team on material stock levels and identify potential shortages or delays.
• Track and manage material consumption based on project requirements.
• Liaise with the procurement department to ensure timely delivery of required materials, equipment, and consumables for the project.
• Monitor stock levels and initiate reordering of materials before stock runs out.
• Ensure that all received materials are checked for quality and quantity as per the purchase order and project specifications.
• Conduct regular stock audits to ensure physical stock matches the inventory records.
• Implement measures to prevent material wastage, theft, or misplacement.
• Maintain proper documentation of all incoming and outgoing materials and equipment, including issuing, returns, and adjustments.
• Ensure the safe and proper storage of materials to avoid damage or deterioration.
• Oversee the loading, unloading, and transportation of materials to and from the site.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards while handling materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate stock records, delivery receipts, and requisition forms.
• Prepare and submit periodic inventory reports to the project manager and senior management.
• Track and report on material usage, project costs, and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate having experience in Construction Industry preferably i.e. Power Transmission, Sub Station & Railway's will be preferred.
