Job Overview:
- As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will drive growth and market penetration for our Numerical Protection Relays and associated products.
- This role involves building robust client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction while aligning with the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Management:
- Identify and onboard new clients while nurturing long-term relationships with existing customers.
- Conduct regular visits to client sites, understanding their requirements, and addressing their challenges.
- Maintain comprehensive meeting reports to ensure seamless follow-up and communication.
- Provide tailored solutions to meet customer needs and achieve high satisfaction levels.
2. Sales and Project Support:
- Monitor ongoing and upcoming projects to identify potential business opportunities.
- Deliver product training and technical support to clients, enabling informed decision-making.
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and clarify technical and commercial aspects of client inquiries.
- Follow up on submitted proposals, ensuring conversion of leads into confirmed orders.
3. Operational Excellence:
- Utilize the CRM system to record and track customer interactions, project details, and follow-ups.
- Coordinate with the supply chain and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Monitor outstanding payments, working with customers to maintain financial discipline.
4. Market Insights and Strategy:
- Stay updated on emerging trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Provide actionable feedback to product development and marketing teams to improve offerings.
Travel: Engage in frequent travel to meet clients, provide on-site support, and attend industry events.
Qualifications and Experience:
Educational Background: MBA/PGDM in Marketing or Business Management (preferred).
Experience:
- 8-10 years of experience in the electrical/power industry, with a focus on Numerical Protection Relays, Sales, Business Development, and Account Management.
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and numerical protection relays.
- Proven experience in developing and executing business strategies.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Expertise in market research, analysis, and project management.
- Leadership qualities to drive teams and achieve goals.
