Job Description
SAP BW/BI Senior Developer.
Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP BW/BI Developer to join our SAP Application Management Services (AMS) team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to meet the reporting and analytical needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SAP BW/BI, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage and optimize data warehouse environments effectively.
Key Responsibilities: SAP BW/BI Design and Development:
- Design and develop SAP BW/BI solutions, including data models, ETL processes, and reports, to meet client requirements.
- Develop and maintain BW InfoProviders, DataSources, transformations, and queries.
- Implement and optimize BI reporting solutions using tools such as SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Analytics Cloud, or similar platforms.
Support and Maintenance:
- Provide ongoing support for SAP BW/BI systems, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and performance tuning.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements to ensure optimal data processing and reporting.
- Perform regular system maintenance and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Data Integration and Management:
- Oversee the integration of data from various sources into the SAP BW environment.
- Ensure data quality and consistency across all BW/BI reports and dashboards.
- Manage data load processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
Client Interaction:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their reporting and analytical needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliverable solutions.
- Conduct training and provide support to end-users on SAP BW/BI tools and reports.
Project Involvement:
- Participate in AMS project activities, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for BW/BI solutions, including design documents, user guides, and technical specifications.
- Work with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP BW/BI technologies and best practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data warehousing and business intelligence capabilities.
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to address evolving business needs.
Job Requirements
Details:
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in SAP BW/BI development and support, with a strong background in data warehousing and business intelligence.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex BW/BI solutions in an AMS environment.
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of SAP BW/BI modules, including data modeling, ETL processes, and reporting tools.
- Proficiency in SAP BW/4HANA, SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Analytics Cloud, and other related BI tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
- Experience in project management and the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
