L3 Citrix Engineer - App Volumes (6-7 yrs)

Mandatory Skills :

Deep expertise in design, implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization of App Volumes.

This includes :

- Thorough understanding of AppStack creation methodologies, including manual and automated approaches.

- Expertise in managing AppStack images, including updates, patching, and version control.

- Ability to optimize AppStack performance and troubleshoot issues related to performance degradation.

- Strong understanding of App Volumes integration with other Citrix technologies like Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.

- In-depth knowledge of App Layering design principles, implementation, and troubleshooting.

This includes :

- Proficiency in creating and managing layers, including application layering, infrastructure layers, and user layers.

- Understanding of layer sequencing and dependencies to ensure proper application functionality.

- Ability to optimize layer performance and troubleshoot issues related to layer conflicts or dependencies.

- Experience with integrating App Layering with other virtualization and application delivery technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain a robust and scalable Citrix environment utilizing App Volumes and App Layering technologies.

- Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex Citrix issues related to App Volumes and App Layering.

- Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and ensure optimal application delivery.

- Participate in capacity planning and resource optimization for Citrix environments.

- Automate routine tasks and processes related to App Volumes and App Layering administration.

- Stay current with the latest Citrix technologies, best practices, and security updates.

- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth integration and operation of Citrix solutions.

- Document and share knowledge with team members through documentation and training sessions.

- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24x7 support as needed.

Desired Skills :

- Experience with other Citrix technologies such as Provisioning Services, Studio, Director, and Netscaler.

- Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automation.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including routing, switching, and firewalls.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
