Overview

A Boomi Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data integration solutions using the Dell Boomi AtomSphere platform. This role focuses on building seamless connections between applications and systems by developing custom connectors, maps, profiles, and processes. The developer ensures the reliability and performance of these integrations through testing, troubleshooting, and optimization, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to align solutions with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Gathering

• Work with stakeholders to analyze integration needs and identify data sources.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

2. Solution Design

• Architect end-to-end integration solutions using Boomis features (connectors, mappings, workflows).
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices.

3. Development & Implementation

• Build custom integrations within Boomi, including data mappings, transformations, and validation rules.
• Deploy and configure Boomi integrations in production environments.

4. Testing & Debugging

• Conduct unit, integration, and performance testing to ensure data accuracy and system reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.

5. Maintenance & Support

• Provide ongoing support for deployed integrations.
• Implement updates, enhancements, and optimizations as needed.

6. Documentation

• Maintain technical documentation, including design specs, deployment instructions, and user guides.

Required Skills & Experience

1. Boomi Expertise

• Hands-on experience with Dell Boomi AtomSphere, including connectors, mappings, and API management.
• Strong understanding of Boomi process development and data quality tools.

2. Integration & Development

• Knowledge of integration design patterns and best practices.
• Proficiency in data transformation techniques and error handling.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like JavaScript or Groovy for Boomi customizations.

3. Data & API Management

• Experience working with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and crafting queries.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and authentication methods (OAuth, API keys).

4. Problem-Solving & Collaboration

• Ability to troubleshoot integration issues and optimize performance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with stakeholders and developers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Dell Boomi Developer Certification.
• Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of ETL tools and enterprise integration patterns.
