Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting and Compliance :
o Review financial statements and reports prepared by external vendors for accuracy
and compliance with Indian GAAP/IFRS and corporate policies.
o Ensure team for final approval.
o Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
management.
o Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory
requirements (including taxation, transfer pricing, and statutory audit).
2. Budgeting & Forecasting:
o Lead the review of budgets and forecasts prepared by the finance team, ensuring alignment with global financial strategies and local objectives.
o Monitor variances and trends to ensure accurate forecasting and planning.
3. Financial Planning & Analysis:
o Conduct in-depth reviews of financial analyses and reports prepared by external partners, providing actionable insights to the leadership team
o Develop financial models to assess the financial viability of business decisions, supporting operational and strategic initiatives.
4. Internal Controls & Governance:
o Act as the checker in the maker-checker-approver flow, ensuring that all financial data from external vendors is meticulously reviewed before submission for corporate approval.
o Maintain a high standard of internal controls and compliance across financial processes, safeguarding company assets and ensuring adherence to corporate guidelines.
o Conduct regular audits of financial data provided by external vendors to ensure transparency and accuracy.
5. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management:
o Review cash flow reports and working capital metrics to ensure effective liquidity management and optimal use of resources.
o Ensure timely payments to vendors and accurate tracking of receivables and payables.
6. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance:
o Review and approve all tax filings and ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and transfer pricing.
o Provide insights and strategies for tax planning and compliance matters to mitigate risks and optimize tax efficiency.
7. Team Leadership & Collaboration:
o Collaborate with external vendors and the internal finance team to ensure smooth f inancial operations.
o Act as a liaison between the India-based finance team, external vendors, and the US headquarters to streamline reporting and financial management processes.
8. Cost Optimization & Financial Strategy:
o Review cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities for optimizing resource allocation across business units.
o Support business transformation initiatives with financial insights and performance data to drive operational efficiencies.
Qualifications:
• Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification (CPA, ACCA, or MBA Finance preferred).
• Experience: 8-12 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 3-5 years in a GCC/captive or multinational organization.
• Skills:
o Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, IFRS, and statutory requirements.
o Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
o Proven ability to review and manage financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
o Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
o Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
