*Key Responsibilities:*
1. *Financial Reporting:*
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors and manage the annual audit process.
2. *Budgeting and Forecasting:*
- Develop and manage the company's annual budget, including forecasting and variance analysis.
- Monitor budget performance and provide detailed financial analysis to senior management.
- Recommend cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiencies.
3. *Accounting Operations:*
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain and improve financial systems and processes for optimal efficiency.
4. *Tax Compliance:*
- Manage tax planning and compliance with all local, state, and federal tax laws.
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring timely payments and minimizing tax liabilities.
- Liaise with external tax advisors and government authorities as needed.
5. *Internal Controls:*
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks by regularly reviewing and updating internal control procedures.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
6. *Financial Strategy and Analysis:*
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions and strategic planning.
- Conduct financial analysis, including cost-benefit analysis, capital budgeting, and investment appraisals.
- Assist in evaluating new business opportunities and mergers or acquisitions.
7. *Leadership and Team Management:*
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance within the accounting department.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives.
*Qualifications:*
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a strong sense of ethics.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
