Project Auditor - Agile/Waterfall Methodologies (7-12 yrs)

Job Description :

As a Project Auditor, you will work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and senior leadership to conduct thorough audits of project activities. You will ensure that projects adhere to both internal and external standards, regulations, and best practices. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to identify areas of risk or inefficiency in project execution.

Responsibilities :

- Perform audits of ongoing and completed projects to ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

- Assess project documentation, including contracts, budgets, timelines, and risk management plans, to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project management standards.

- Identify areas of risk or inefficiency, providing actionable recommendations to improve project performance, reduce costs, and mitigate potential issues.

- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather data, conduct interviews, and review project records to assess project health and performance.

- Review financial reports and budgets, ensuring that project expenditures align with allocated resources and project objectives.

- Evaluate the effectiveness of project controls and governance processes, ensuring that they are being implemented correctly and consistently.

- Provide feedback and recommendations for improving project planning, execution, and delivery processes.

Qualifications :

- 7-12 years of experience in project auditing, internal auditing, or a related field, with a strong focus on project management and compliance.

- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and auditing processes.

- Experience reviewing project documentation such as contracts, financial records, budgets, and schedules.

- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, industry standards, and compliance requirements relevant to project management.

- Proven experience in identifying risks, inefficiencies, or non-compliance issues and providing actionable recommendations for improvement.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex data, identify trends, and provide insights.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present audit findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

- Proficiency with auditing tools and software, as well as project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, etc.).

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience
