Job Description

To take over the charge from duty nurse of previous shift, regarding patients (bed to bed), instrument supplies, drugs etc. and handed over the same to the next shift.

Responsible for checking out pending investigations and address them.

Regularly recording vital signs such as temperature, pulse, blood pressure of patients

Responsible for taking nurses count and share the same with the Nursing manager in preparing shift roasters.

Assisting surgeons in emergency cases.

To assess the needs of the patients in the ward and make nursing care plan for all patients consulting.

Responsible for overseeing the records and registers of NICU and submitting it to nursing manager.

Performing discharge planning for patients

Ensure the nursing staff administers medications and treatments prescribed by physicians.

To provide special care to the patient guided by the Medical Officer

Assisting and performing procedures under the guidance of Nurse In-charge.

Giving the status update of NICU ward to nurse In-charge on a daily basis.

Coordinating with stores and raising indents for procurement of material

Maintaining the records as per NABH standards.

Responsible for effective disposal of biomedical waste as per the prescribed procedures.

Acts as resource person in the absence of administration

Educational Qualifications

B.Sc. Nursing / GNM with NICU certification.

Having 6 plus years of experience in NICU.
High level of understanding in pediatrics critical care.
Having knowledge on procedures for neonatal care.

Patient Satisfaction and ensure zero escalation

Timely updation of NICU records

Hygiene and Cleanliness of NICU Wards

Accuracy in Patient
