• General Medicine involves the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of medical conditions
• Here is an overview of the role:Patient Care: Evaluate patients, conduct thorough medical examinations, and take detailed medical histories
• Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, including acute and chronic illnesses
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment as necessary
• Ward Rounds: Conduct regular ward rounds to assess patients' conditions, review test results, and provide updates on treatment plans to the healthcare team
• Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
• Emergency Response: Be available for medical emergencies and provide immediate care to critically ill patients
• Stabilize patients, perform resuscitation procedures, and coordinate with other departments or specialists as needed
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain patient safety during procedures
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and progress notes
• Document procedures, test results, and medication administration appropriately
