Senior Systems Engineer

Role & responsibilities:

1. Good handle over Linux server administration
2. Hands on experience with working on Automation tools, particularly Ansible
3. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and/or Go
4. Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail

Job Description:
As a Cloud/Systems Administrator, this individual will be assisting in managing and maintaining the infrastructure for Walmarts Private Cloud environment/systems. The individual will work closely with the rest of Walmart’s Private Cloud team to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Linux Administration: Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline system management tasks.
• Ansible: Utilize Ansible for configuration management and automation of system deployments.
• Scripting: Write and maintain scripts in Python and/or Go to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
• Monitoring: Monitor system performance and security, and implement necessary updates and patches.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Experience with automation tools, particularly Ansible.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and/or Go.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
