Retail Sales Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Operational Management:
• Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
• Develop and implement business strategies to increase store traffic and optimize profitability.
• Maintain high standards of store condition and visual merchandising.

Sales and Customer Service:

• Set and achieve sales targets by motivating and mentoring store staff.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback professionally.

Staff Management:

• Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise staff to ensure the store is adequately staffed.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Inventory and Financial Management:

• Manage inventory levels, order stock, and plan promotional events.
• Analyze sales figures, customer behavior, and market trends to anticipate product needs.
• Develop and manage store budgets, maintaining accurate financial records.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Report and manage any accidents or incidents in the store.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with retail management software and inventory management systems.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and create sales strategies.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in retail management.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
