Tasks & responsibilities :

- Development of high-quality database solutions.

- Minimum 5 years experience in SQL development.

- Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL.

- Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements.

- Research required data.

- Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables making use of SSRS

- Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.

- Suggest new queries.

- Develop procedures and scripts for data migration.

- Provide timely scheduled management reporting.

- Investigate exceptions with regard to asset movements.

- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

- Experience in SSRS, SSIS packages

- Knowledge of FTP (File Transfer Protocol) advantageous

- ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) processes

Education & experience :

- Relevant experience in architecting, designing and implementing Microsoft Azure private, public and hybrid cloud-based solutions.

- Broad understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.

- Project delivery experience within waterfall and agile software development methodologies

- Keen interest in future technologies and the strategic direction of software and systems delivery to continually improve the service.

- Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases.

- Capable of configuring popular database engines and orchestrating clusters as necessary.

- Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications.

- Capable of troubleshooting common database issues.

- Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements.

- Good communication, presenting, collaboration and stakeholder management skills

- Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it
