Data Analyst - MIS Reporting

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Data Analyst with a strong financial acumen to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver accurate and insightful monthly MIS (Management Information System) reports to support decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in data analytics, proficiency in financial analysis, and the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

MIS Reporting:

Prepare, analyze, and deliver comprehensive monthly MIS reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Data Analysis:

Collect, organize, and interpret large datasets from various sources.

Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Utilize statistical and analytical techniques to evaluate financial performance and other key metrics.

Financial Analysis:

Collaborate with finance teams to understand financial data and metrics.

Analyze financial trends, variances, and performance indicators.

Provide recommendations based on financial data to improve business outcomes.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand reporting needs.

Present insights and findings to senior management in a clear and concise manner.

Tool Utilization and Automation:

Leverage tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other BI platforms for data visualization and reporting.

Identify opportunities for process automation to enhance reporting efficiency.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with the latest trends and tools in data analytics and MIS reporting.

Recommend and implement best practices for data management and reporting processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Finance, , Data Analytics, or a related field.

Proven experience in data analytics, financial analysis, or MIS reporting.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Excellent understanding of financial principles and metrics.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Effective communication skills for presenting data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with SQL, Python, or R for data analysis.

Knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

Certification in data analytics or financial analysis (e.g., CFA, Tableau, or Power BI certification).
