Spigot Software - Product Owner - Telemetry & Automation (12-30 yrs)

Job Description :

This is a senior technical position for an engineering specialist in the Network Design and Engineering team focusing on telemetry and automation elements for LAN, WAN, DDI, Load balancing, NTP, proxy, firewall and security services to develop a strategy with company business, product, architecture and design.

The Telemetry and Automation Product Owner will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of telemetry systems and automation tools used across the organization. This role will focus on driving the development, enhancement, and integration of telemetry solutions that monitor system health, performance, and security, as well as automation processes that improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both product management and technical areas such as cloud infrastructure, monitoring tools, and automation platforms.

The role requires to combine elements of architecture, design, governance, and consultation to produce Network Service Architectures, Designs and Standards which align with business and architectural requirements. With a proven technical background, the ideal candidate should follow industry standard development frameworks incorporating planning, designing, testing, implementing, operating, optimizing, and be able to effectively participate in multi-functional meetings, clearly articulate Network Service features and capabilities, translate business requirements into technical requirements, and ultimately, into outcomes that are fit for purpose and production-level use.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING :

- 5+ years of experience in product management, specifically in the areas of telemetry, monitoring, or automation.

- Proven track record of successfully managing complex technical products, preferably in software development, IT operations, or cloud infrastructure environments.

- Experience working with modern telemetry tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, etc.) and automation platforms (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, etc.).

- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to translate technical concepts into business terms and vice versa.

- Experience with data-driven decision making and performance metrics.

- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives and competing priorities.

Preferred :

- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and DevOps practices.

- Knowledge of microservices architectures, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
