Technical Project Manager

Role: Technical Project Manager
Experience: 15 - 20 + years
Education: Graduate - B.Tech/B.E. - Computers, Electronics/Telecommunication; PG - M.Sc. Computers, M.Tech - Any Specialization, MCA - Computers
Location: Pune.

Key Responsibilities:
Resource planning (maximizing utilization of resources)

• Work with delivery managers to allocate resources for upcoming and ongoing projects based on their bandwidth and skills needed for the project
• Plan for buffers according to resource skill levels
• Review updated allocations with project managers/leads every week
• Understand allocation changes from baseline
• Capture why allocations are going above originally planned level (customer, internal challenges)

Resource Forecasting (Stay ahead of the curve in scaling up or down hiring)

• Gather resource needs on pipeline projects and planned growth/budget
• Identify hiring needs & coordinate with HR

Resource skills growth (Ability to allocate resources with appropriate skills to projects)

• Capture skill sets of resources (product experience, platform experience, etc.)
• Updates at the end of each project
• Plan training time for all resources
• Tech Skills
• Soft skills
• Leadership skills
• Analytics (for all the areas mentioned above)
  

Required:

• Knowledge of SDLC.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• Immediate Joiners are preffered.
• Required to work from the office.

Additional Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field

- 5-8 years of project management and related experience

- Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification preferred

- Proven ability to solve problems creatively

- Good experience in Agile and CSM certification is preferred

- Working knowledge of SAFE is preferred

- Strong familiarity with project management software tools like Jira, methodologies, and

best practices

- be able to take complete ownership of projects

- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and

long-term goals

- Potential to judge and foresee problems/issues.

- Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills

- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle

- Excellent analytical skills

- Strong interpersonal skills and are extremely resourceful

- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline

- Should be able to understand Product architecture and technicalities, which requires providing accurate estimation to the customer

- Good to have a background as a Technical Solution Consultant.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation

- Determine and define project scope and objectives

- the resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner

- Prepare a budget based on the scope of work and resource requirements

- Track project costs to meet budget and track deliverables

- Develop, manage, and control detailed project schedules and work plans.

- Provide project reports/updates consistently to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables

- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution

- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed

- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

- Maintain and control the RAID log - escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans
