Position: Accounts Manager
Location: Valasaravakkan - Chennai

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee and manage our company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, demonstrated leadership skills, and extensive experience in managing accounts and financial tasks. This role involves handling purchase orders, work order verification, supplier and contractor payments, rate negotiations, GSTR 2B reconciliation, and more.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase Order Verification

• Review and verify purchase orders from initiation to completion.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Work Order Verification

• Conduct thorough verification of work orders.
• Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.

Supplier and Contractor Payment Schedule Preparation

• Prepare payment schedules for suppliers and contractors.
• Collaborate with the Head of Department and Finance team to obtain necessary approvals.

Supplier and Contractor Rate Negotiation

• Conduct final rate negotiations with suppliers and contractors to secure favorable terms for the company.

GSTR 2B Reconciliation and Reporting

• Perform GSTR 2B reconciliation.
• Prepare and submit accurate reports in a timely manner.

Daily Tally Entries

• Oversee day-to-day entries in Tally.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Coordination and Monitoring of Subordinates

• Supervise and monitor the performance of subordinate employees in the accounts department.
• Provide guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.

Reporting

• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on financial operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the Head of Department and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum Experience: 6 years in accounting, with at least 3 years of continuous experience in the last company.
• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Tally and other accounting software.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
