Senior Project Manager - IT (10-12 yrs)

Role Overview :

- Space Inventive is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Manager with a strong focus on cost management, budgeting, and finance management for IT projects.

- In this critical role, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of large-scale projects valued at $10 million or more, primarily within the pharmaceutical sector.

- You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, business teams, and cross-functional departments to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Cost Management:

- Develop and manage comprehensive project budgets, including resource costs, material costs, and other expenses.

- Track and analyze project costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying and mitigating potential cost overruns.

- Perform cost-benefit analysis and generate regular cost reports for stakeholders.

- Manage and reconcile invoices, ensuring timely payments and accurate cost tracking.

- Experience in handling large-scale projects, preferably $1M or more.

- Very strong Project Cost Management experience - Demand Generation, Budget Planning, Resource Cost Planning at various levels.

- Strong understanding of Project Costing - OPEX planning, CAPEX planning, Internal cost plan, external cost plan, compliance cost plan.

- Strong understanding of Budgeting, Project Costing, Resource Costing, OPEX & CAPEX accounting with relevant experience.

- Ability to have a close and relentless watch on budget allocated and have expertise to devise mechanism to track and report the change in cost/fees.

- Keep eye on trajectory of cost incurred vs. project delivery.

- Must have strong Project Cost Management experience in terms of resource cost, GR/IR knowledge, Cost booking/rebooking in any PM tool, internal and external cost management.

Project Delivery Management:

- Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure.

- Lead and mentor project teams, including developers, business analysts, and other project stakeholders.

- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.

- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.

- Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and other project management frameworks (e. , Waterfall, SDLC).

- Conduct regular project status reviews and report progress to stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, business users, and senior management.

- Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

- Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts effectively.

Technical Expertise:

- Strong understanding of IT project delivery processes and methodologies.

- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and MS Project.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other relevant software.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in project management, with a strong focus on IT projects.

Technical Skills:

- Proven experience in managing large-scale IT projects, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.

- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and other project management frameworks.

- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and MS Project.
