Software Engineering Specialist (Mainframe+ ETL)

Responsible for the design, development, modification, debugging and/or maintenance of software systems. Works on specific modules, applications or technologies, and deals with sophisticated assignments during the software development process.

• Learn the Astadia Factory tools to perform mainframe transformations.
• Provide expert level mainframe knowledge and ETL process.
• Provide expert level mainframe knowledge on file system, VSAM, Sequential files etc.
• Participate in multiple concurrent projects to completion on-time and on-budget.
• Deliver within the scope of the project within the scope of a Factory project while not compromising on quality.
• Work closely with team members and clients to achieve desired results.
• Mentor junior team members on Mainframe migration tasks
• Thrive in an environment of collaboration and change.
• Develops and works with the client s mainframe specialists.

• Bachelors degree in Science/IT/Computing or equivalent and 7-8 years experience as a software engineer or a software support engineer.
• 6+ years of experience with mainframe application and database technologies.
• 6+ Years of ETL experience in mainframe with VSAM, sequentials files, GDG etc
• 5+ ETL experience with Mainframe Databases
• A plus would be candidate with 2+ Years of mainframe migration experience
• Expert level in mainframe application technologies (COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM etc....).
• Expert level experience in ETL process and data migration
