UX Designer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop intuitive and engaging VR user interfaces and experiences.
• Perform QA testing on VR applications to identify usability issues and bugs and report them following JIRA workflows with attention to details.
• Ideally, this person will spend 50% of the time in designing and 50% in QA testing. This may shift depending on the work volume and business needs.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and inform design decisions to measure success of an interaction or a feature in VR.
• Present the findings to the product team in clear concise manner to influence the design to improve the quality of VR experiences for better learning and knowledge retention.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and technical artists, to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design concepts.
• Develop and maintain design documentation, including user flows, personas, and design guidelines.
• Stay up to date with the latest VR design trends, tools, and technologies.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in UX design, with a focus on VR applications.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your UX design work, including VR projects.
• Experience with QA testing and a solid understanding of QA methodologies and tools. Should possess a mentality to step in the end users shoes.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Eager to learn challenges of manufacturing environments • Passion for VR and a deep understanding of VR design principles and best practices.

Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices in VR design.

• Knowledge of VR hardware and software platforms.
• Familiarity with Concepts of learning is a bonus.
• Experience QA testing games is a big plus.
