SOS Children s Villages of India are an independent, non-governmental and non-profit organization working for the holistic development of parentless children as well as women and children from vulnerable families. Founded in 1949 in Austria, SOS Children s Villages began its India operations in 1964. For over 60 years, we have reached over 65,000 children through our 31 SOS Children s Villages and 27 community projects in India positively impacting over 83000 lives. SOS India has worked with children, communities, disaster struck and disaster-prone areas, giving hope to vulnerable communities and families. SOS India has the largest operation within the SOS International Federation of 134 countries.

As a non-governmental social development organisation, we support children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. We are committed for safeguarding and protecting children in our programmes by having zero tolerance policy in this regard.
