Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive the sales strategy, manage key customer relationships, and lead a team to achieve business targets for Sonet Microsystems Pvt Ltd.
- The Sales Manager will be responsible for generating new business, managing the sales pipeline, and ensuring the successful delivery of IT and technology solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Identify key opportunities within the IT and technology sector to generate revenue and expand market presence.
- Create sales forecasts, set clear performance targets, and track progress to ensure timely goal achievement.
Lead Generation & Prospecting:
- Generate new business opportunities through research, cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
- Qualify leads and build a solid sales pipeline by targeting new clients in various sectors such as enterprise businesses, government, education, and SMEs.
- Identify and pursue cross-selling and upselling opportunities to existing clients.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build, maintain, and nurture long-term relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Conduct needs assessments and deliver tailored solutions that align with clients' business objectives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and requirements.
Sales Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Provide regular coaching, training, and performance feedback to ensure the team is equipped to perform at their best.
- Set individual and team targets and ensure accountability for meeting sales goals.
Market Research & Competitor Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and competitor offerings.
- Analyze competitors' strategies and identify areas where Sonet Microsystems can gain a competitive advantage.
- Report market insights and customer feedback to the product and marketing teams for strategic decision-making.
Sales Presentations & Proposals:
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, product demos, and proposals to prospective clients.
- Customize presentations to address clients' specific needs and challenges, demonstrating how Sonet Microsystems' solutions can add value.
- Lead negotiations and ensure favorable contract terms for both the client and the company.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, leads, opportunities, and closed deals using CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance, pipeline status, and key metrics.
- Analyze sales data to forecast future sales and plan strategies accordingly.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with the marketing, product, and customer support teams to ensure alignment between sales efforts and overall company objectives.
- Collaborate with the technical team to understand product capabilities and deliver accurate information to clients.
- Ensure a smooth handover of clients to the account management or support team post-sale.
Product Knowledge:
- Maintain a deep understanding of Sonet Microsystems' product and service offerings, including IT infrastructure, networking, cloud solutions, and security systems.
- Stay updated on technological advancements and be able to effectively communicate these benefits to clients.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- An MBA is a plus.
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record in B2B sales, especially in the IT, technology, or solutions-based industry.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in managing a sales team.
- Experience in selling IT infrastructure, networking solutions, cloud services, or similar technology products is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of IT products, solutions, and technologies such as networking, cloud computing, cybersecurity, etc.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot, etc. ) and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
