Engineer - System Simulation

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

• Development of system level simulation models with inverter, controller, motor and simulating the loading conditions focusing on operation cycles and system efficiencies.
• In-depth understanding of the motor control algorithms and their implementation using the simulation tools.
• Adaptive Controller Parameter Tunning & optimization to meet the requirements.
• Detailed understating of the electronic circuit and simulating the different worst-case operations.
• Establishing the system level plant model and creating the LUT for the different motor control parameters based on the simulation.
• Performing system tests, creating the documentation, discussing the results with product development team and creation of functional optimizations.
• Creation of plant model as per the requirements of HIL Testing.
• Creation and implementation of presentations on application topics for internal and external use.
• Knowledge about the Integration of Mechanical & electrical parts in vehicle.
• Knowledge about the hardware and software integration.
• Co-ordination with internal & cross Functional team about the results & Improvements.

Key Performance Indicators:

• BE/ME in in Electrical/Electronics/Computer science or equivalent discipline with 4 to 7 years of experience
• Should possess hands-on expertise in system level simulation tools. e.g. Matlab Simulink, Simscape.
• Should have knowledge of complete system modeling [motor, inverter & controller], Drive cycle simulation and thermal system modelling using 1D simulation
• Should be able to understand the details of the electronic circuits and representing the function in the simulation models. Exposure to PSIM/ SPICE would be an added advantage.
• Should be able to do traction drive 1D modelling, efficiency calculation, Multidomain simulation using system simulation tool
• Able to do object-oriented modeling, simulation, debugging and dynamic optimization with system simulation tool e.g. Simulink.
• Has good experience on Scripting language e.g. Python, VB
