Pavement Engineer

Responsibilities for flexible pavement.

• Select suitable pavement materials such as aggregate, bitumen, lime, etc.
• Perform structural analysis to ensure pavement durability
• Incorporate sustainable practices and assess environmental impacts
• Conduct tests at site as well at hot mix plants and inspections for material quality and quantity.
• Develop pavement management plans and strategies for laying.
• Assess existing pavements and recommend repairs, estimate costs for laying.
• Document Mix design laying plans, inlay, and Major maintenance.
• Ensure pavements meet safety standards and regulations
• Communicate with clients, contractors, other Engineers, and stakeholders

Working Conditions

• Work on a NH-2 projects such as road milling and inlay.
• Collaborative work with other professionals working on the projects
• Work schedules depend on project objectives
• Extra hours may be required when nearing the completion of a project
• Generally work in an outdoor environment
