Lead Software Engineer - Python Programming (5-11 yrs)

Summary :

Soliton is a high-technology software company working with the top semiconductor industries in the world, looking for a Technical Lead - Python for GenAI. The Technical Lead will use their core engineering capabilities to leverage Generative AI for Test and Measurement. The applicant can expect to gain vast experience in the growing use of GenAI to address key requirements in the semiconductor industry. We do not expect the applicant to have prior experience in working with GenAI however, we do expect the applicant to be keen to learn and work in the growing landscape of GenAI.

Position Overview :

We are a 25+ year Company that serves seven of the top 20 semiconductor companies in the world. We have recently seen a rapid growth in the demand to improve the efficiency of legacy workflows using GenAI. To meet this high demand Soliton is building a brand-new team. We expect this team to solve some of the most challenging problems using the recent advancements in GenAI.

We are looking for a Technical Lead in Python, who has strong engineering capabilities and a keen interest to learn and explore its application in GenAI. The Technical Lead will design and implement software for multiple applications such as Measurement & Automation, Semiconductor Post-Silicon Validation, and Cross-platform device GUIs. This is a role where you can expect to gain vast experience in GenAI using your core know-how in Python.

- With every device in the world from an electric toothbrush to a self-driving car requiring automated test and measurement solutions, this is a domain with multiple applications.

Key Responsibilities :

The Technical Lead will work as part of a Venture team at Soliton that is young and ambitious, looking into new growth tracks. This team will explore the use of the most recent advancements in GenAI to address the challenges of Test and Measurement.

Technical Expertise :

- You will Architect and Design service-based systems comprising frontend, backend, databases and AI services.

- Configure, Deploy and Scale systems and solutions using cloud infrastructure like Azure and

AWS.

- Develop, Codevelop and Guide the team from the proposed architecture and design to a functional and scalable solution.

- You will establish the best coding practices to develop, debug and design user interfaces.

- Extensive background as a Python developer with experience of 5-10 years and engineering graduation, preferably electronics background.

- Proficiency in Python asynchronous programming (asyncio) and strong understanding of microservices architecture.

- Good understanding of design pattern and Multithreading concepts.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks, specifically pytest and familiarity with DevOps practices.

- Prior experience in Team handling is a must.

- Experience with web frameworks such as FastAPI- and Django for building API-driven applications.

Good to Have :

- Experience in cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS for deploying and managing scalable services.

- Knowledge on data frameworks like LlamaIndex and LangChain

- Any academic knowledge or work experience in GenAI and/or self-driven projects would be a great plus.
